Thank you for all the thoughtful treats throughout the entire Teacher Appreciation Week. We enjoy working with your children and also enjoy all our opportunities to work together with you. We wish all of our students' mothers a very Happy Mothers Day!
DRES Field Day Volunteers Needed
Giant Food A+ Rewards Program
Thank you to our community who shops at Giant and has their card registered for the Deep Run Giant Food A+ Rewards Program. Our school earned $761.97 this past school year! The program will begin again on September 7th. If you are a current supporter, there is no need to register your card. If you have not registered your Giant card, you can begin registering on August 3rd. Additional information will be sent in the summer and at the start of the schol year.
Expanded Breakfast Program at Deep Run Elementary
Starting Monday May 7th, the breakfast program at Deep Run expanded to include a free breakfast for all students. Students will enter the building at 9:10 and go straight to their classrooms. The breakfast will be in the classroms for them if they choose to have it. It will be very important for students to arrive to school on time. Breakfast will not be given to students after 9:25 and students need to be finished eating their breakfast by 9:35. Click here to see the breakfast menu for May.
Last Day of School
The last day of school will now be June 19th. There will be a three hour early dismissal on June 15, 18, and 19. The 5th grade promotion was moved to June 14th. RECC and PreK will have their last day on June 14th.
PTA Positions Available for the 18-19 School Year
The PTA needs your help. There are several vacant positions for the 18-19 school year.

Save the Date for the Deep Run Volunteer Tea on June 4th from 2:15-3:45.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration is open. To register for kindergarten, children must be five years old by September 1, 2018. All children must be registered by their custodial parent (biological, adoptive, legal guardian.)
This year HCPSS will introduce a new online registration process. Starting Thursday, March 1, you will find a link on the main HCPSS website to begin the online process. HOWEVER, you will still need to come in during Kindergarten registration week to complete the process. Read more.
