Family File
Parents/guardians may now complete Family File emergency information. Parents must verify or update information for each child, each school year. HCPSS Family File is where parents input and find all of the information located on their child's Emergency Procedure Cards, such as transportation, contact information, and medical considerations. To update your Family File, go to https://www.hcpss.org/connect/. For the safety of your child/children, it is very important that this information remain current. This information must be updated every year. Please ensure that it is completed prior to the start of school.
For directions on how to input your child's information on Family file, click here.

Deep Run Elementary School Based Wellness Center
DRES has a school based wellness center! Children can receive medical care while they are in school by using telemedicine technology. A secure, two way, real time video link is used to connect the school nurse and your child to either his or her medical provider or a Howard County General Pediatric Emergency Room physician. Parents must complete the enrollment forms for their children to receive services and the school nurse will call you before visits. If you have a smart phone or computer, you may participate in the visit and talk with the doctor.Telemedicine visits are free or cost the same as a regular office visit, depending on the child’s health provider. Click here to see a video of how the program works.
Moving?
If you are moving this summer please let us know so we can assist you in the process of enrolling your child in their next school. If you are moving to another school in Howard County, you can go directly to the new school with your new lease or deed. You will complete a form that will enable the new school to request records from Deep Run. Some schools will require a transfer packet and we are happy to put the packet together for you. If you are moving to another county or out of state, we will prepare a transfer packet for you to take to the new school.
If you are moving to a new home within the Deep Run attendance area, please bring the new lease or deed to school so we can update our records.
Please note: Parents must live in the attendance area of the school where their children will attend. The children must live in the residence with the parents.
