Schedule for Last 7 Days of School
This was the last week for new assignments being posted to Canvas. During the week of June 15, teachers will begin the process of 'grading' for the fourth Quarter. Students have until June 23rd, the official last day of school, to complete assignments. If your child has not yet met expectations (below) to 'pass' a class, the week of June 15 through June 23 is a great opportunity to make up that work.
On June 15, 16, 17 and 18, students will participate in their usual check ins. Please be sure to have your child check his or her Canvas Calendar for details. In addition, teams have planned virtual class picnics which are planned for June 19, 22 and 23. Information about each of these events will be shared through Canvas by your child's teacher. Please assist your child with checking that information and attending these events. We miss your children and hope to 'see' them again before the school year closes. It is very important for your children to have an opportunity to close out the year with their teachers and classmates.

Completing Related Arts Assignments
On behalf of all Deep Run Related Arts teachers please remember to let them know you’ve completed your Related Art’s assignments. At the bottom of each teacher’s canvas page is a task completion button. Each week please remember to click the button and respond to the question that follows. This indicates you’ve completed your Related Arts assignment for the week and is recorded in our gradebook. It’s never too late to go back and complete an assignment from a previous week. All Related Arts assignments will be available until the end of the school year. Thank you to those students who are already doing this each and every week!
An example of the task completion button is below.
An Important Message from our School Counselors
Hello Deep Run Families,
We are thinking of all of you and wish that we could be together in school. We hope that you are well! We want to share a list of resources for parents and children to address children's questions, emotions and trauma surrounding current events in our country. We also invite you to visit our Canvas page to sample some of the lessons that we have provided for you. We have gotten the chance to meet virtually with many of you and it has been wonderful. It's not too late to schedule an appointment! For students in grades K and 4, email Mrs Fairchild and for students in grades 1,2,3 and 5, email Mrs. Wohnsigl to schedule a time to meet.
Warm wishes,
Mrs. Fairchild and Mrs. Wohnsigl
