DRES PTA Parent Survey-English and Español
Thank you for supporting the DRES PTA this school year! As we start this school year, we know it's going to be very different. We're living in a virtual school environment, not just for distance learning, but also for social opportunities. Now that we've had several weeks to experience distance learning schedules and technologies, please take a moment to complete this brief survey.
DRES PTA is working with Administration and the Family Involvement Team to seek ways to support our families. We anticipate new challenges and new ways to learn for our children and for us as parents. We would like to understand your concerns, needs, and interests as we start the year.

The theme for the poster contest are Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s words, "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends." The deadline for the poster is October 30 at 5:00 p.m. Each applicant must submit an application and their submission by the deadline, to be eligible for the cash prizes. Pantry on the Go at Glen Mar Church
Deep Run Elementary is partnering with Weis Markets to raise funds for our school. The funds raised will go towards various activities for our students and a new school sign. When you shop at Weis, scan the code from the flyer below to register your Weis Club Card. Once you register you are in the program and do not need to register again. Please share this bar code with friends and relatives so they can support our school too!

Each car will be eligible to receive one box of food, and all participants must wear a face mask during pickup. There are no income or documentation restrictions. We have requested over 2,000 boxes of food, but once the food is gone it is gone. You are welcome to come each week that the program is available to receive food whether walking or by car.

Halloween 2020
Although we recognize that Halloween activities held during the school day have been a long-standing tradition at our school, the decision has been made to not hold Halloween activities during the virtual instructional day this school year in any HCPSS school. This allows all students, whether they recognize Halloween or not, to fully participate and engage in instruction on October 30th.
