Virtual Gifted and Talented Information Night for K-5

Please join Mrs. Bianchi and Ms. Kanter to learn about the Gifted and Talented program offerings at Deep Run this school year for Grades K-5.  The presentation topics will include Primary Talent Development (PTD), Curriculum Extension Units (CEUs), Instructional Seminars (IS), and G/T Mathematics.

PTA Halloween Trunk or Treat

Save the date for the PTA's Annual Trunk or Treat on October 28th at 6:00.

Halloween will only be celebrated at the Trunk or Treat. There will be no Halloween events taking place during the school day.

Worth Repeating

Important Reminders for the 21-22 School Year

  • All PreK, K, and 1st grade students with Chromebooks at home need to return them to school with the chargers.
  • Students in Grades 2-5 without a Chromebook will receive one shortly.
  • Students should bring a filled water bottle to school.
  • Students need to wear a mask all day at school.  The school can provide masks to students.
  • Students are late after 9:25
  • Students should only leave school early for a doctor's appointment.  Early dismissals need to take place before 3:30.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run will be back this Fall! Registration is open for the 9-week season, which will begin the week of September 20. The end-of-season 5K weekend is scheduled for the weekend of November 13-14, 2021. Deep Run's practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:00-5:15pm at Deep Run. In-person teams will adhere to enhanced health and safety policies and will meet with the ability to transition to virtual meetings in the event of COVID-related meeting restrictions. Registration is $165 and includes a program shirt, water bottle, 5K registration, 5K shirt and finisher’s medal, as well as a cinch sack with all necessary program materials. Teams are limited to 20 girls and registration is first-come, first-served.

Covid-19 Self Screenings

All parents/guardians are to perform a COVID-19 health check every day before your student leaves home. Students are not to come to school if they are experiencing any symptom(s) associated with COVID-19 or other communicable disease.

This resource is helpful for navigating the school year and includes information about HCPSS practices, policies and services available to support and enrich learning. A printed version of the handbook is no longer provided.
