Howard County Public School System Policy 9000 establishes procedures for determining eligibility for students to attend a Howard County public school. Additionally there are boundary areas that determine which school students attend. The bona fide residence of the parents must fall within the boundaries of Deep Run ES in order in order for their child to attend Deep Run. Bona Fide Residence is the person’s principal residence maintained in good faith. It does not include a temporary residence or a superficial residence established for the purpose of attendance in the HCPSS. Evaluation of a person’s bona fide residence is a factual one and will be made on an individual basis.
The school locator can be used to determine if the bona fide residence is within the Deep Run boundaries.
Policy 9000 further explains the procedures and explains exceptions to the policy.
If you move, please contact Deep Run at 410-313-5000 to complete a change of address form or for assistance with withdrawing your child from Deep Run.
